Albany Bulb

Canon 5D Mark II
24-105mm Lens
For my birthday/Mother's Day this year, my dad and brother took us to The Albany Bulb. I've lived in this area the majority of my life and had never even known this existed. It was a chilly May day, and we ended up walking the entire Bulb, not quite knowing where everything was. Here's an interesting read on The Bulb... Sidenote: What is my fascination with landfills? Treasure Island....The Bulb...The Marina....

Lola

This is my brother's dog, Lola. She's some sort of mutt, a rescue dog my brother got from the Marin Humane Society. She's adorable but has selective hearing...

Rusty Barrels....

Canon 5D Mark II

These rusty oil barrels were laying around near the abandoned trains at 8th Street in Sonoma (Hwy 121). One of my favorite things to shoot is anything rusty, dirty, old, abandoned or beat up. The textures and colors and history of what might have been intrigue me.

Treasure Island...Part 2128015

Canon 5D Mark II

I LOVED living on Treasure Island....where else can you have panoramic views of the entire Bay Area, watch all of their fireworks shows every Fourth of July and be contaminated with radioactivity? I mean really, it has the best of all worlds.

Not that it ever got warm enough, but this would have been an awesome pool to hang out in/by in the warm San Francisco fall.

Avila Beach, SLO

Canon 5D Mark II

I took this shot way back earlier this year at Avila Beach in SLO. If I could take it again, I'd do many things differently, but for now, it is what it is....and I do really need to go back!

Purple Pepper & Green Squash

Canon 5D Mark II
50mm Macro Lens

More fun with produce! As you can see, I've been looking for pretty purple produce...hence the purple pepper. I had some fun in Photoshop and  I'd love to know which you like the best. Then there's a lone, green squash at the end. The colors and pattern are gorgeous.

Artichoke

Canon 5D Mark II
50mm Macro Lens

Expect more pretty produce from me here - I'm going to be on the hunt for perfectly photogenic produce for awhile. Next up, our labor-intensive-but-lovable artichoke!

Corn

Canon 5D Mark II
50mm Macro Lens

I love corn. I've never even seen sweet red corn until yesterday in my hunt for the most photogenic produce. I have yet to eat it, but enjoy the photographs - it's so beautiful!

Update: This corn is produced by Colorful Harvest. Like them on Facebook!
